Birth and death

Birth refines
our view
of man,
As dusk
our view
of stars.

Dim at first?
No, star and man alike reflect
the amplitude of ageless light.

Death refines
our view
of man,
As dawn
our view
of stars.

Gone, you say?
No, shining still each celebrates
with us eternal day.
